Marin Academy answered back with one of their own. The 2nd quarter was back and forth with goals from Michael Bone and Grant Jackson bringing the score at halftime to Dons 4 and MA 3. Two in a row were scored by MA in the 3rd quarter, which put them ahead by 1. But a beautiful pass from Jack Thoren to Colin Jeffries tied the game. MA responded with another go-ahead goal, but another great pass from Nathan Brickman to Colin Jeffries tied the game again. With a score of 6 to 6 starting the 4th quarter, both teams possessed the ball well, played strong defense and took multiple shots, but MA was lucky enough to land one. With just a minute or so left to play, the Dons had a chance to tie the game again… but time ran out before they could sink one. Final score Dons 6 – MA 7.
