In Fridays action…

The girls soccer team posted a 3-0 shutout against Antioch HS. The jv team did likewise 5-0.

The varsity boys basketball team defeated San Marin HS 51-36 in the semifinals of the San Rafael Classic.

The jv boys basketball team defeated Northgate HS 75-54 in the semifinals of the John Rhodes Memorial tournament.

The freshman boys basketball team fell to Moreau Catholic HS in 4 overtimes 78-75 in the semifinals of the California tournament at 6:30.

In Saturdays action…

The varsity boys soccer team played masterfully defeating Irvington HS 4-0 in the Winter Classic.

The freshman boys soccer team defeated Deer Valley HS 6-2.

The varsity boys basketball team defeated San Rafael HS 41-39 on a tip-in by Nick Price with no time remaining on the clock to capture the championship of the San Rafael Classic.

The jv boys basketball team was defeated by Liberty HS 75-65 in the championship game of their John Rhodes Memorial tournament.

The freshman boys basketball team defeated California HS 46-30 in the California tournament.

The varsity girls basketball team was defeated by South San Francisco HS.

In Mondays action…

The boys soccer team plays at James Logan HS. JV at 4:00 and varsity at 6:00.

The freshman boys soccer team hosts Northgate HS at 6:00.

Individual standouts…

Boys soccer. Mason Larrick was named “Man of the Match.” Alex Topping, Reider Martinsen and Nick Geannacopoulos each scored a goal and had an assist. Nick Schirmer scored a goal.

Boys basketball. Ian Archer was the San Rafael Classic Most Valuable Player and Carson Etnyre was named All-Tournament.

The jv boys basketball team overwhelmed Concord HS 86-47 in the John Rhodes Memorial Classic.

The freshman boys basketball team defeated California HS 48-34 in the California tournament.

The jv girls basketball team was defeated by St. Patrick’s HS in the El Cerrito tournament.

Nov 29 – Wednesday Sports

In Tuesdays action…

The girls basketball team defeats Washington HS, San Francisco 58-37 in their home opener. The jv team pulled out a 55-53 victory on the game winning shot by Lauren Westergren with 13 seconds remaining.

The girls soccer team starts off the season with a victory over Piedmont HS 3-2. The jv team played to a 0-0 draw.

Mondays sports and action over the Thanksgiving Break

During the Thanksgiving Break…

Saturday, November 18…

The football team capped off a great season in the NCS quarterfinals in defeat to Bishop O’Dowd HS.

Cross Country.  The boys finished 8th overall and the girls 14th at the NCS Meet of Champions. On the boys side, Riley Noon placed 22nd, Josh Starr 26th and Ethan Frigon 42nd. On the girls side Nicole Frigon placed 33rd.

The frosh-soph girls soccer team easily defeated Concord HS.

Tuesday, November 21…

The young girls basketball team started off the season with a loss to Mission San Jose HS in the NCS Foundation Game. Sophomore Lauren Kobashigawa led the way with 17 points and freshman Gabby Schneider added 13 points.

Saturday, November 25…

The boys basketball team battled the Alumni team down to the final seconds in a 66-62 victory.

​As we return from the Thanksgiving Break, Winter sports shifts into high gear.

The boys soccer team hosts Richmond HS in a scrimmage. JV at 5:00 and varsity at 7:00.​

Oct 25 – Wednesday Sports

In Tuesdays action…

At the DAL Girls Tennis Championships, Eliza Bates #4 seeded singles, Sydney Bell & Zoe Cate #2 doubles and Megan Cardiff & Maddie McDonagh #4 doubles advanced to todays semifinals.

The girls volleyball team dispatched College Park HS 25-13, 25-12 25-17. The jv team swept 25-17, 25-17 and the freshman team likewise 25-20, 25-3.

The unified soccer team dropped a close decision to Heritage HS. Gabe Jess and Daniel Sodestrom each scored 2 goals.

In Wednesdays action…

​Eliza Bates #4 singles, Sydney Bell & Zoe Cate #2 doubles and Megan Cardiff & Maddie McDonagh #4 doubles compete in the DAL Girls Tennis Semifinals at Acalanes HS at 3:45.

The water polo teams host Miramonte HS in a HUGE regular season finale. JV girls at ​4:00, varsity girls at 5:00, varsity boys at 6:00 and jv boys at 7:00. Their Senior Night Presentation will take place between the varsity girls and boys games.

The cross country team competes in the DAL Center Meet at Hidden Valley Park at 3:30.

Sep 5 – All Sports Meeting 7PM

What: Acalanes All-sports meeting (Fall / Winter / Spring) for all Acalanes sports for this year.

When: Tuesday, September 5th @ 7pm

Where: Acalanes PAC

Topics: Important issues for all sports including athletic funding, CIF and NCS rules & registrations, and Q&A.

This meeting will be the only All -Acalanes sports meeting for this year.

Individual sports team meetings with coaches will occur as usual prior to each seasonal sport.
