Acalanes Recruited Athletes Celebration

On Friday, May 19, 2017, Acalanes Boosters is proud to present a celebration of Acalanes’ talented, hard-working student-athletes who have been recruited to play their sports in college (Division I, II or III) while continuing their educations. Acalanes has at least 23 student-athletes who are so accomplished.
 
Local media, parents, friends, Acalanes students, and the community are all invited. There will be a group question & answer session, photo and interview opportunities, and other fun.  Please come to help us celebrate these student-athletes and their accomplishments!
 
Please note: the due to the continuing block schedule, May 19th lunch will take place from 11:15 to 11:50am.

May 17 – Wednesday Sports

In Tuesday’s action…

Boys Volleyball

found themselves in a back and forth battle with Redwood HS in the NCS semifinals. It could not be more even with Redwood winning the first game, Acalanes the second, Redwood the third and Acalanes the 4th. The fifth game was tied at 8-8, but Redwood HS prevailed. Everyone played well and Connor McCarthy and Carter Smith delivered inspirational performances.

Baseball

defeated Northgate HS 11-6. The jv team squeaked out a 7-6 victory.

Softball

shutout Mt. Diablo HS 20-0.

The #2 seeded boys lacrosse team hosts #3 Marin Academy HS in the NCS semifinals at 7:00.

Note: At all NCS playoff games, there is an admission charge. $10 general admission and $5 for students, children and senior citizens. No passes or ASB stickers will be honored.

May 16 – Tuesday Sports

Boys Volleyball

hosts Redwood HS in the NCS semifinals at 7:00.

Baseball

plays Northgate HS at 4:00. Varsity is away and jv is home.

Softball

plays at Mt. Diablo HS at 4:00.

defeated University HS 10-3 to advance to the NCS semifinals as they host Marin Academy HS Wednesday at 7:00.

swept Sir Francis Drake HS 25-18, 25-19, 25-16 to advance to the NCS semifinals as they host Redwood HS Tuesday at 7:00.

Freshman Baseball

split with Las Lomas HS in a doubleheader.

competes in the NCS Championships at Chardonnay GC.

Swimming

The Emilys shined at the NCS Finals to qualify for the CIF State Championships. Emily Lo placed 2nd in both the 100 breaststroke and the 100 butterfly and Emily Gebhardt placed 8th in the 50 freestyle.

shutout Campolindo HS 14-0 to raise their DAL record to 7-1 and their overall record to 15-3.

Baseball

was defeated by Campolindo HS. The jv team earned the victory.
