Acalanes started off the NCS playoffs with a 4-1 victory over Casa Grande HS. They advance to the quarterfinals and will host Campolindo HS Saturday at 7:00.

Gabe Singer scored 2 goals and had 1 assist and Luke Denham had another stellar night as goal keeper as both were named “Man of the Match.” Drew Wondolowski scored a goal and had an assist. Cameron Shapoorian scored a goal and Nixson Murgia had an assist.

NCS Tri Valley Track & Field Championships
Julia Lyons won the long jump and placed 2nd in the 100 and 7th in the 200.
Windy Margerum placed 2nd in the long jump, 3rd in the 100 hurdles and 3rd in the triple jump.
Muppy Gragg placed 4th in the 400, 5th in the 300 hurdles, 6th in the long jump and 6th in the high jump.
Jack Brydon placed 2nd in the shotput and 5th in the discus.
Anna Davis in the unified competition placed 2nd in the 100 and 4th in the long jump.
Aimee Gee in the unified competition placed 3rd in the long jump and 4th in the 100.
Ethan Westmeier placed 5th in the triple jump.
Devin Grobeck placed 6th in the 100 hurdles.
