Apr 9 – Boys Varsity Lacrosse defeats Dublin 16-5

Boys Varsity Lacrosse

defeated Dublin with a final score of 16 to 5, continuing their winning streak with 8 wins in a row! Wesley Greason had 5 Goals and 1 Assist, Robbie Stern had 4 Goals and 2 Assists, Chris Lane had 2 goals. Nathan Brickman had 1 goal and 2 assists. Sam deRoque, Vinny Gladden, Jack Mariani and Matt Reilly each had 1 Goal. Cam Bosshart had 5 saves and Danny Ennis had 3 saves.

Come cheer on the Dons as they go up against the Mats on Friday night at Miramonte!

defeated Miramonte HS 4-0.

Boys Lacrosse

cruised to a 16-5 victory over Dublin HS remaining undefeated in the DFAL at 5-0 with an overall record of 9-3. The JV team posted an 18-1 victory to also remain undefeated in the DFAL at 5-0 with an overall record of 10-2.

Girls Lacrosse

put on an offensive display defeating Dublin HS 22-13.

Boys Golf

was narrowly defeated by Campolindo HS 194-207.

Boys Tennis

was defeated by Miramonte HS.

Yesterday, the baseball team defeated Alameda HS 3-2 in the semifinals of the Willie Stargell Memorial Classic to set up a meeting with San Lorenzo HS today at 1:30 at College of Alameda, weather permitting, in the championship game. Andrew Merken was the winning pitcher. Tyler Supple went 1 for 2 and Grant Henderson went 1 for 3. Jack Veasey and Garrett Candau each had a double.

Softball

The Lady Dons found themselves behind 4-3 to Tamalpais HS going into the bottom of the 7th inning, but rallied to score 2 runs and pull out the victory that raises their overall record to 9-2.  Natalie Goepel was the winning pitcher raising her record to 9-2.  Jamie Jacobs went 4 for 4, with 2 RBIs and a run scored.  Mia Monopoli went 2 for 4, with an RBI and a run scored.  Alex Grant-Hudd went 2 for 3, with an RBI.

The Dons defeated California HS 4-3 in the first round of the Willie Stargell Memorial Classic.

Mia Monopoli hits a solo home run in the bottom of the 7th Inning to tie the game (Click on image to view entire gallery)

The Lady Dons were down 4-3 going into the bottom of the 7th inning. Mia Monopoli blasted a solo home run to left field to tie the game at 4-4. Jamie Jacobs followed with a standup double, and was driven in with an RBI by Natalie Goepel to end the game Dons 5 – Mt. Tam 4.
