Apr 18 – Wednesday Sports and Softball results

In yesterdays action…
The softball team defeated Piedmont HS 8-4.  Natalie Goepel was the winning pitcher raising her record to 7-4.  Mia Monopoli provided the big punch at the plate with a 3-run homerun as she went 1 for 1 and had a stolen base.  Ariel Padua went 2 for 3, with 2 runs scored.

In todays action…
The track & field team hosts the BIG meet with Campolindo HS and Dublin HS at 3:30.
The softball team hosts highly rated Tamalpais HS at 4:00.
The swim team has a meet at Miramonte HS at 3:45.
The jv diving team competes in the De La Salle Invitational at 3:00.
The boys golf team has a match against College Park HS at Rossmoor GC at 3:30.

Apr 17 – Girls JV Lax Results

The JV Girls Lax team beat Dublin 10 – 7 in last night’s game, to make them undefeated in league play.  League record:  5 wins, 0 losses.

Individual Highlights: #19 Michelle Ravazza’s first goal of the season (made within 1 minute of game opener), fed by #35 Allison Roullier, #15 Ellie Higgins‘ 4 goals, #4 Caith Wright’s 3 goals, #8 Maya Marshall’s 2 goals, Goalie Mollie Nelsen’s 13 saves (including 4 saves against penalty/free shots), in addition to the JV defense shutting down and blocking opponent’s shots.  (#54 Abby Manzano had one especially dramatic penalty/free shot block)

Next game:  Fri. 4/20/12 @ Las Lomas.  5:30 game start.

 

Apr 16 – Monday Sports, Lacrosse and Baseball results

In Fridays action…
The boys lacrosse team defeated Dougherty Valley HS 19-0.  Ryan Wieber scored 5 goals, Robbie Stern scored 3 goals and had 2 assists, Nick Warren scored 2 goals and had 1 assist, Scott Lindsay scored 2 goals, Jack Mariani scored 1 goal and had 3 assists, and Cameron Bosshart had 3 saves.

In Saturdays action…
The baseball team was defeated by Castro Valley HS 5-4.

Individual standouts…
Boys lacrosse     Ryan Wieber scored 5 goals. Robbie Stern scored 3 goals and had 2 assists. Nick Warren scored 2 goals and had 1 assist. Scott Lindsay scored 2 goals. Jack Mariani scored 1 goal and had 3 assists. Cameron Bosshart had 3 saves.

Baseball               Frank Panacci went 2 for 2, with 2 RBIs. Grant Diede went 1 for 1, with 2 RBIs. AJ Welsh went 2 for 4.

In Thursdays action…
The boys golf team defeated Las Lomas HS 202-209.  Will Brueckner shot a 36, Chris Childers 37 and Spencer Morgan 41 on a 9-hole, par 36 course.

In Fridays action…
The boys lacrosse team hosts Dougherty Valley HS.  JV at 5:30, varsity at 7:30.
The softball team plays Las Lomas HS at 4:00.  Varsity is away, and jv is home.

In Saturdays action…
The baseball team hosts Castro Valley HS at 1:00.

Apr 10 – Tuesday Sports and Baseball win

In yesterdays action…
The baseball team finished last years unfinished business by defeating last year’s other NCS co-champion, San Marin HS 5-0, and raise their overall record to 10-3.  Andrew Merken was the winning pitcher.  Spencer Henderson went 2 for 4, with 2 RBIs and a double.  Conor Hornsby went 2 for 4, with an RBI.

In todays action…
The boys lacrosse team hosts Marin Academy HS at 7:00.
The softball team hosts Northgate HS at 4:00 (weather permitting).
The boys tennis team has a match against Dougherty Valley HS at 3:30 (weather permitting).  Varsity is home, jv is away.
The boys golf team has a match against Campolindo HS at Moraga CC at 3:00 (weather permitting).

The baseball team defeated Las Lomas HS 2-1.
The boys golf team defeated Bentley HS 152-200.
The girls lacrosse team defeated Alhambra HS 18-2.
Over the Spring Break…
The baseball team defeated Alameda HS 9-0 to claim the Willlie Stargell Memorial Classic. Along the way they defeated Berkeley HS and Arroyo HS.
In todays action…
The baseball team hosts San Marin HS at 4:00 in a rematch of last years NCS Championship game.

The girls lacrosse team defeated San Ramon Valley HS 15-11.  The jv team was defeated.
The baseball team was defeated by Campolindo HS.
The softball team was defeated by Campolindo HS.  The jv team was also defeated.
The boys tennis team competed well against powerhouse Campolindo HS in 6-3 defeat.  The jv team was defeated.

In Fridays action…
The lacrosse teams play Alhambra HS.  The boys are home and varsity girls away.  JV at 5:30, varsity at 7:30.
The boys volleyball team hosts Alhambra HS at 6:00.
The boys golf team has a match against Bentley HS at Mira Vista CC at 3:30.
