May 2 – Girls Varsity Lacrosse

The Lady Dons fell short to the Campolindo Cougars, 13-9.
Marcy Morse lead the team with 5 goals ( 3 draw controls). Claire Gallagher had 2 goals (4 draw controls). Julia Mueller ( 4 draw controls) and Sydney Louie had one goal each. Jamie Wendt had phenomenal night in goal with 13 impressive saves.
The JV team had another spectacular late game comeback to defeat the Cougars. They finished the year with an impressive 17-2-1 record.

In Monday’s action…

Boys Volleyball

swept Concord HS 25-18, 25-19 and 25-19 to remain undefeated in the DAL at 8-0 and raise their overall record to 25-5. The jv team also swept 25-10 and 25-11 to finish the season 6-0 in the DAL and 9-3 overall.

Baseball

plays Alhambra HS at 4:00. Varsity is away and jv is home.

Softball

plays at Las Lomas HS at 4:00.

Lacrosse

teams play Campolindo HS. Boys are home and girls are away. JV at 5:30 and varsity at 7:00.

Boys Golf

Julian O’Donnell shot a 76 at the DAL Championships to advance to the NCS Championships. Jake Rosenberg also played very well shooting a 77.

Apr 27 – Girls Lacrosse defeat the Falcons

The Lady Dons defeated the College Park Falcons, 13-7.

Julia Mueller led the attack with 8 goals. Kati Gardner added 2. Marcy Morse (5 draw controls), Claire Gallagher (3 draw controls) and Sydney Louie each had 1 goal. Anna deRoque had 2 assists. Jamie Wendt led the defensive charge with 10 saves in goal and 3 loose ball controls.

The Lady Dons travel to Campolindo on Tuesday to play the Cougars in their final league game.

defeated College Park HS 13-7 to raise their DAL record to 12-3. The jv team pulled out a 7-6 victory.

Baseball

dropped a 4-3 extra-inning decision to Northgate HS. The jv team was also defeated.

Trenton Tso won two matches before being defeated in the singles quarterfinals. Aidan Alagappan & Clay Schmidt won two matches before being defeated in the doubles quarterfinals.

Baseball

led 1-0 after 6 innings and exploded offensively scoring 8 runs in the seventh to secure a 9-0 shutout of Campolindo HS. The jv team pulled out a 5-4 victory.

Softball

defeated Campolindo HS 13-6 to remain undefeated in the DAL at 3-0 and raised their overall record to 11-2.

Boys Volleyball

continues their hot streak defeating Alhambra HS 25-9, 25-10, 25-21 to remain undefeated in the DAL at 7-0 and raise their overall record to 24-5. The jv team is also hot with a 25-9, 25-12 victory to remain undefeated in the DAL at 5-0 and raising their overall record to 8-2.

Boys Lacrosse

defeated Miramonte HS 7-4 to remain undefeated in the DAL at 12-0 and raised their overall record to 15-2. The jv team was defeated by St. Ignatius HS.

JV Girls Lacrosse

trailed 9-6 with 6 minutes left and mounted a furious rally to end the game in a 9-9 tie.

Josh Candau struck out 5 in 6 innings. Ty Ewing had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Grant Smith had 2 RBIs. Paul Griessel and Daniel Kim each added 2 hits.

Apr 25 – Girls JV Lacrosse

The JV Girls had a great game yesterday at rival, Miramonte.

Teams stayed neck in neck until the latter part of the 2nd half, when Miramonte took the lead 9-6. With 5 minutes left, the Dons scored 3 goals to end the game with a tie which felt almost like a win.

Maile Broad led the game with 3 goals, followed by Kate Carter with 2 goals and Messina Montgomery, Keri Wendt, Jordan Pratt, and Sophia Benveniste all had 1 goal. Laura Garfein came up with 7 draw controls and Molly Cronk had 10 goalie saves.

Final score 9-9.

Apr 25 – Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons fell to rival Miramonte last evening, 11-7.
The Dons were slow out of the gates but scored 4 straight goals at end of first half to pull within 2. The Dons rallied in second half but couldn’t convert their shots on goal.
Julia Mueller ( 4 draw controls) and Marcy Morse had two goals a piece. Lauren Westergren, Katie Gardner and Anna deRoque ( 2 caused turnovers) had one each. On the defensive end Emma Workman had 3 loose ball controls and Katrina Lee had two caused turnovers and one loose ball control. Jamie Wendt had 8 great saves in goal.
