Acalanes Recruited Athletes Celebration

On Friday, May 19, 2017, Acalanes Boosters is proud to present a celebration of Acalanes’ talented, hard-working student-athletes who have been recruited to play their sports in college (Division I, II or III) while continuing their educations. Acalanes has at least 23 student-athletes who are so accomplished.
Local media, parents, friends, Acalanes students, and the community are all invited. There will be a group question & answer session, photo and interview opportunities, and other fun.  Please come to help us celebrate these student-athletes and their accomplishments!
Please note: the due to the continuing block schedule, May 19th lunch will take place from 11:15 to 11:50am.

May 10 – Girls Lacrosse

Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons fell in the first round of the NCS playoffs to the #1 seed ( #2 in the West) Novato Hornets, 22-7. Finishing their high school careers, Julia Mueller led the team with 3 goals ( 3 draw controls) and Anna deRoque fired in a goal on a free position shot ( 1 assist) for the Lady Dons. Marcy Morse contributed 2 goals ( 2 draw controls, 1 assist), and Claire Gallagher had one goal and 4 draw controls. Goalie Jamie Wendt had an impressive 11 saves against an extremely talented team. The team finished the year with a 12-9 record.

May 10 – Wednesday Sports

In Tuesday’s action…


defeated Miramonte HS 25-10 to raise their overall record to 14-3 and their DAL record to 6-1.


found themselves behind 2-0 after 6-1/2 innings. In the bottom of the 6th, they exploded for 3 runs and shut down College Park HS in the last inning to pull out a 3-2 victory.

Girls Lacrosse

plays at Novato HS in the first round of the NCS playoffs at 5:30.

Tuesday’s individual standouts…


Brooke Panfili pitched the first 3 innings, striking out 5 batters to earn the win as Marina Carr led off the game with a homerun.

Marianna Florine placed 6th in the pole vault.

Girls Lacrosse

plays at Novato HS Wednesday at 5:30 in the first round of the playoffs.

Boys Lacrosse

is the #2 seed and will host the winner of Novato HS v. University HS Friday or Saturday at 7:00.

Boys Volleyball

is the #2 seed and will host the winner of El Cerrito HS v. Drake HS Friday or Saturday at 7:00.

Note: At all NCS playoffs games, there is an admission charge. $10 general admission and $5 for students, children and senior citizens. No passes or ASB stickers will be honored.

Boys Volleyball

swept 25-10, 25-11, 25-16 to remain undefeated in the DAL at 8-0 and 25-6 overall.

was defeated by Las Lomas HS.

Girls Lacrosse

was defeated by Campolindo HS. The jv team rallied again to pull out a 13-12 victory to finish the regular season at 15-2-2.

Boys Lacrosse

was defeated by Campolindo HS. The jv team recorded a 10-1 victory.
