In Thursday’s action…

Boys Volleyball

dropped the first game, but recovered to defeat Las Lomas HS 18-25, 25-23, 25-16 and 25-17. The jv team fell to the Knights.

Boys Tennis

suffered the narrowest of defeats to Campolindo HS 5-4.

In Friday’s action…

Lacrosse

Teams have the showdown with Campolindo HS. Girls are home and boys are away. JV at 5:30 and varsity at 7:00.

Boys Golf

has a match against Campolindo HS and Northgate HS at Rossmoor GC at 3:30, weather permitting.

In Saturday’s action…

Softball

hosts Kennedy HS, Fremont at 10:30.

Baseball

plays Foothill HS. Freshmen are away in a doubleheader at 11:00 and 1:30 and varsity is away at 4:00. JV is home at 4:00.

Boys Volleyball

competes in the Dougherty Valley Invitational.

Track & Field

competes in the Bay Area Relays at Foothill HS.

Swimming and Diving

Teams compete in the Mission Viejo Invitational.

Boys Tennis

Ryan Everly and Matt Gay won singles matches. Cole Brightbill & Jin Heo and Aidan Alagappan & Clay Schmidt won doubles matches.

In Monday’s action…

Girls Lacrosse

defeated College Park HS 13-8.  The jv team also won 14-5.

Softball

defeated Encinal HS 11-5.

In Tuesday’s action…

Boys Lacrosse

hosts Marin Academy HS.  JV at 5:30 and varsity at 7:00.

Softball

hosts San Lorenzo HS at 4:00.

Boys Volleyball

plays at Miramonte HS.  JV at 5:00 and varsity at 6:00.

Boys Tennis

has a match at Mt. Diablo HS at 3:30, weather permitting.

Mar 20 – Girls Lacrosse rains on College Park

Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons battled College Park in the rain and were victorious, 13-8.

Julia Mueller scored 6 goals followed by Susie Bush with 4. Sydney Louie added two goals. Claire Gallagher, Emma Workman and Anna deRoque each added one. Marcy Morse had 7 draw controls and 3 caused turnovers. Jenna Kisner dominated the defensive side with 6 caused turnovers and 5 ground balls. Jamie Wendt had 9 saves in goal.

The JV team also were victorious.

Mar 20 – Monday Sports

In Saturday’s action…

Boys Volleyball

defeated Heritage HS, Granada HS and Jesuit HS before falling to Sanger HS to finish 3rd in the East County Invitational.

Boys Lacrosse

suffered their first defeat of the season to Redwood HS.

Freshman Baseball

split a doubleheader with Miramonte HS.

hosts College Park HS. JV at 5:30 and varsity at 7:00.

Mar 17 – Girls Lacrosse vs. Miramonte

Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons led most of the game to league rival Miramonte but fell short in the final minutes, 9-8.

The Lady Dons shut down the Mats top players and goalie Jamie Wendt had another stellar night with 9 saves. Susie Bush and Marcy Morse lead the team with 2 goals each. Julia Mueller had 1 goal and 3 draw controls. Also contributing  with a goal each were Emma Workman, Anna deRoque and Sydney Louie. The JV team staged a late game comeback to beat the Mats in the last minute in a exciting game!

Both teams return to action Monday night vs College Park at home. JV 5:30 and Varsity 7pm.

Mar 18 – Saturday Sports

In Friday’s action…

Boys Lacrosse

remains undefeated following an 11-3 victory over Miramonte HS raising their overall record to 6-0 and their DAL record to 5-0.

Girls Lacrosse

was locked in a game that was very close from start to finish. They took the lead early, but the Matadors battled back to take the lead in the second half. The Dons mounted their own rally scoring twice in the last minutes to tie the score, but surrendered the winning score with seconds left to fall 9-8 in their first lost in the DAL. The jv team fell behind early 5-1, but rallied to tie the score in the final minutes. Maile Broad fired the winning goal with 52 seconds remaining and the teams outstanding late defense secured the 13-12 victory.

put together a complete game to shutout Bear Creek HS 9-0.  The freshman team pulled out a 3-1 victory and the jv team dropped a close 2-1 decision.

was defeated by College Park HS.

Varsity Baseball

Josh Candau threw a 1-hitter through 5-2/3 innings and Kevin McConnell finished out the game striking out the side in the last inning.  Will Rembac had 4 hits and Ty Ewing had 3 hits to drive in 3 runs.  Cole Gallagher and Daniel Kim each had 2 hits.

JV Baseball

Eddie Burns and Kade Shipp delivered outstanding pitching performances as they did not allow an earned run through all 7 innings.

Freshman Baseball

John Kalil threw 5 innings allowing only 1 run and Owen Hansen recorded the final 6 outs for the save.  Ben Fromer and Cole Murgia each collected 2 hits.

Boys Tennis

Cole Brightbill & AJ Hesby, Henry Huchingson & Andrew Tso and Aidan Alagappan & Clay Schmidt won doubles matches.

Mar 15 – Wednesday Sports

In Tuesday’s action…

Boys Lacrosse

defeated College Park HS convincingly 11-1.  The JV team did likewise.

Varsity Girls Lacrosse

defeated Ygnacio Valley HS.  The JV team recorded a 17-2 victory.

Baseball

dropped a close 4-2 game to Amador Valley HS.  The JV team was also defeated.

In Wednesday’s action…

Swim Team

hosts Monte Vista HS at 3:45.

Track & Field

has a meet at Miramonte HS at 3:30.

Mar 14 – Girls Varsity Lacrosse

The Lady Dons dominated new league opponent Ygnacio Valley, 16-1.

Freshman Lauren Westergren led the offense with 4 goals, followed by Anna deRoque, Sydney Louie, and Julia Mueller each with 3. Louie also had an impressive 8 draw controls. Susie Bush added 2 goals along with 6 loose ball controls. Rounding out the scoring spree were Jenna Kisner and Katie Gardner with 1 goal each.

The Lady Dons face their league rival Miramonte  at home on Friday, JV at 5:30pm and Varsity at 7pm.
