Nov 21 – Monday Sports

In Saturday’s action…

Girls Volleyball

The #2 seeded girls volleyball team defeated Aptos HS 25-23, 21-25, 25-18 and 25-21 in the CIF NorCal quarterfinals.  They advance to the semifinals where they will host Buhach Colony HS Tuesday at 7:00.

Cross Country

The boys cross country team finished 10th in division 3 at the NCS Meet of Champions led by Zach Woodworth, who finished in 34th place.

Note:  At all CIF playoff games, there will be an admission charge.  $9 general admission and $5 for students, children and senior citizens.  No passes or ASB stickers will be honored.

Oct 8 – Saturday Sports

In Friday’s action…

Girls Golf

defeated Irvington HS 242-288.

Boys Water Polo

was defeated by Foothill HS of Santa Ana and defeated San Clemente HS in the Southern California Invitational in Irvine.

Football

was defeated by Concord HS. The JV team scored in the last minute and added the 2-point conversion to finish tied 22-22.

In Saturday’s action…

Varsity Girls Water Polo

plays St. Francis HS at Miramonte HS at 12:00.

Cross Country

competes in the Belmont Invitational.

Boys Water Polo

competes in the Southern California Invitational in Irvine.

Girls Volleyball

defeated College Park HS 25-9, 21-25, 25-21 and 25-14 to raise their DAL record to 3-1 and overall record to 13-5.  The jv team swept the Falcons 25-16 and 25-14.  The freshmen came up just short in three games.

JV Girls Tennis

defeated Miramonte HS 7-4 to improve to 3-0-1 in the DAL and 8-1-1 overall.

Freshman Football

defeated Washington, Fremont HS.

The varsity standouts were Parker Jones and Alex Matson on offense and Devin Grobeck on defense.  The JV standouts were Sarah Westergren on offense and Paige Holder and Kaitlyn McKendell on defense.  The freshman standouts were Jessica Larrick on offense and Izzy Macayan and Skylar Woehrle on defense.

JV Girls Tennis

Sophia Cooper & Milena Lucey, Maggie Curless & Jess Gerson, Naomi Berkowitz & Anya Weinstein, Anika Mohanty & Vivian Tingle, Emily Erce & Sofia Swatt, Alyssa Aramanino & Katie Bishopp and Maren Quintella & Scarlett Reicher won their doubles matches.
