May 10 – Girls Lacrosse

Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons fell in the first round of the NCS playoffs to the #1 seed ( #2 in the West) Novato Hornets, 22-7. Finishing their high school careers, Julia Mueller led the team with 3 goals ( 3 draw controls) and Anna deRoque fired in a goal on a free position shot ( 1 assist) for the Lady Dons. Marcy Morse contributed 2 goals ( 2 draw controls, 1 assist), and Claire Gallagher had one goal and 4 draw controls. Goalie Jamie Wendt had an impressive 11 saves against an extremely talented team. The team finished the year with a 12-9 record.

May 2 – Girls Varsity Lacrosse

The Lady Dons fell short to the Campolindo Cougars, 13-9.
Marcy Morse lead the team with 5 goals ( 3 draw controls). Claire Gallagher had 2 goals (4 draw controls). Julia Mueller ( 4 draw controls) and Sydney Louie had one goal each. Jamie Wendt had phenomenal night in goal with 13 impressive saves.
The JV team had another spectacular late game comeback to defeat the Cougars. They finished the year with an impressive 17-2-1 record.

Apr 27 – Girls Lacrosse defeat the Falcons

The Lady Dons defeated the College Park Falcons, 13-7.

Julia Mueller led the attack with 8 goals. Kati Gardner added 2. Marcy Morse (5 draw controls), Claire Gallagher (3 draw controls) and Sydney Louie each had 1 goal. Anna deRoque had 2 assists. Jamie Wendt led the defensive charge with 10 saves in goal and 3 loose ball controls.

The Lady Dons travel to Campolindo on Tuesday to play the Cougars in their final league game.

Apr 25 – Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons fell to rival Miramonte last evening, 11-7.
The Dons were slow out of the gates but scored 4 straight goals at end of first half to pull within 2. The Dons rallied in second half but couldn’t convert their shots on goal.
Julia Mueller ( 4 draw controls) and Marcy Morse had two goals a piece. Lauren Westergren, Katie Gardner and Anna deRoque ( 2 caused turnovers) had one each. On the defensive end Emma Workman had 3 loose ball controls and Katrina Lee had two caused turnovers and one loose ball control. Jamie Wendt had 8 great saves in goal.

Apr 21 – Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons cruised to victory over Ygnacio Valley Warriors on Senior Night.
All three of the seniors contributed in their final home game. Julia Mueller had 3 goals ( 5 draw controls), Anna deRoque had one goal ( 4 draw controls) and Natalie Basha scored one goal. The remaining goals were scored by goalie Jamie Wendt playing in field position, Lauren Westergren, Hannah Snyder, Olivia Toth, Emma Workman, Cate Goodman, Molly Mudgett, Sydney Louie, and Savannah Mone.

Next up for the Lady Dons is rival Miramonte on Tuesday.

Apr 18 – Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons were victorious over the Northgate Broncos,15-5. Julia Mueller paced the Dons with 4 goals and 4 draw controls. Susie Bush, Claire Gallagher and Sydney Louie each contributed 2 goals. Katie Gardner, Marcy Morse ( 3 draw controls), Isabel Rurka, Jenna Kisner and Anna deRoque ( 4 draw controls) each scored 1 goal. Savannah Mone had 3 loose ball controls.
The Lady Dons are back at home on Friday night for Senior Night vs Ygnacio Valley. JV 5:30pm, Varsity at 7pm. Honoring of Seniors is prior to Varsity game.

Apr 14 – Acalanes Girls Lacrosse Slay the Knights

The Lady Dons defeated Las Lomas, 17-7.

The Dons took the early lead but the Knights fought back in second half with four straight unanswered goals. Then Marcy Morse took control of the game, winning 7 draw controls and scoring 2 goals. Leading the scoring were Julia Mueller and Susie Bush with 5 goals apiece. Claire Gallagher contributed 3 goals and 5 draw controls. Anna deRoque fired in 2 free position shots.

The Junior Varsity staged a late game comeback to defeat the Knights in an exciting game.

Apr 11 – Girls Lacrosse cruise past Clayton Valley

The Lady Dons cruised to victory over the Clayton Valley Ugly Eagles, 19-3. The Dons were led by Susie Bush with 6 goals, Julia Mueller with 4, Kati Gardner with 3, and Hannah Snyder with 2. Contributing 1 goal apiece were Claire Gallagher, Katrina Lee, Sydney Louie, and Grace Andronico. Katrina Lee also had 4 caused turnovers. Claire Gallagher led the team in draw controls with 4. The JV team also cruised to victory.

Mar 31 – Girls Lacrosse

The Lady Dons started the second round of league play with a lopsided victory over visiting Alhambra, 20-6.
