Apr 30 – Charlie Eaton / Bob Warren Relay Results

This past Friday the track team competed in the Charlie Eaton/Bob Warren Relays here at Acalane.

At the Charlie Eaton/Bob Warren the girls varsity won the meet and the boys varsity finished third.  This is the highest finish for the girls as a team since…..

Individual events:
Girls 4 x 1600 Brooke Lennox, Nicole O’Conner, Anna Mary Star, Caroline Kelly  2nd  23:24.19
Ethan Westmeier  2nd in the Varsity110 hurdles with a PR 16.31  and 2nd in LJ 20-8
Edward Growszewski – third in the F/S 110 with a PR  17.26
Devin Grobeck  2nd in the Varsity 100 hurdles with a PR 16.61 and 36-61/2 in the TJ, PR
Annie Klopstock 4th in Varsity TJ with a PR 31-6
Raea Gragg finished 2nd in Varsity LJ
Anna Weier finished third in Varsity LJ with a PR 15-7, a PR in the shot 28’ and 83-5 ½ in disc a PR
Karen Rosenberg finished first in the F/S Girls disc 81-11 ½ and finished first in the shot 27-9, both PR’s
Jack Brydon won the Varsitry shot, and 3rd  in discus
Jonah Pokell-Wilson finished 4th in discus with a PR 117-2
Muppy Gragg won the F/S HJ with a jump of 4’10, and with that jump would have won varsity as well
Jonny Choi jump 5-8 to finish 4th in F/S HJ, a PR
Christy Xie finished 4th in Varsity Discus with a PR of 87-7
Sabina Patel throw a PR in Varsity Discus with a throw of 79-6
Mar Thrasher threw a PR in F/S discus with a throw of 87-3 ½
Joe Christiansen finished 4th in Varsity Shot with a PR 41’ 1 ½
Ryan Nall finished 5th in the Varsity shot  with a PR 40’ 8”
Kenny Souza won the Varsity girls shot with a PR 30’ 3
The Varsity girls 4 x 400 finished 3rd , Annie Klopstock, Brooke Lennox, Mikaela Troung, Mari Florine
The Varsity girls 4 x 200 finished 1st, Anna Weier, Annie Klopstock, Mikaela Troung, Mari Florine (Mari received the baton in 5th and flew by three runners in front of her and ran away from the field)
Girls 4 x 800 finished 2nd, Brooke Lennox,  Anna Mary Starr, Imani Boggan and Caroline Kelly

Performance of the weekend is the girls varsity for winning Charlie Eaton/Bob Warren.  A accomplishment that I cannot remember ever happening before.  (If you look at the names, a large number of the girls are freshmen, sophomores and juniors.)
