Acalanes Boys Varsity Soccer Wins First League Game v. College Park

Acalanes starts the season off right with a Win against College Park 2-1. First goal came around the 20 min mark when Travis Stevenson had a beautiful cross from the right side and a streaking Matt Raffel put a boot on it which ended up in the back of the net.

The second goal happened just a short time after when a shot went off the cross bar and Aidan Mosley settled it and then shot the ball over the Keepers head where he touched the ball which then hit the cross bar and ended up in the back of the net.

The second half was a back and forth game until College Park took advantage of a turn over and crossed the ball into the keepers box in which a CP player was able to get position against our defender and score.  The next 25 minutes the Dons put the pressure on CP and defended well against their efforts, a late game Dons goal was only negated with an offsides call and then the whistle blew to end the game, Victory.

The Acalanes JV were not so fortunate with a Loss 2-0 v. College Park. The first half, was tied 0-0. College Park scored with 25 minutes left in the second half. Acalanes led by Ethan Michon, showed great defensive pressure to change the tide of the game but in an all out effort to score, Acalanes JV conceded on the counter attack to end the game 2-0 in favor of College Park.
