The Boys’ lacrosse team faced off against Las Lomas on Friday night and came away with a stunning 17 to 6 victory. It appeared after the 1st quarter that it might be a close game with the score at the end of the 1st quarter just 4-3 in favor of the Dons. But the Dons we are used to seeing showed up in the 2nd quarter! With great passing and play execution, the Dons ran away with it in the 2nd quarter. Score at halftime was 12 to 4. All of the team had a chance to play resulting in a final score of 17 to 6. The Dons remain undefeated in DFAL.

Highlights include: Adrian Jeffries with 3 goals and 4 assists, Chris Greer 3 goals, Jack Thoren had 2 goals and 2 assists, Nathan Brickman had 2 goals and 1 assist, Sam deRoque and Vinny Gladden had 2 goals each, Taylor Howell, Luke Olson and Cole Tanner each had 1 goal. Additional assists came from Chris Lane and Trent Nemanic. Sam deRoque and Taylor Howell consistently won face-offs. Defensively, Vinny Gladden led the charge with at least 8 ground ball retrievals while forcing Las Lomas to turnover the ball 5 or more times. Vinny Gladden, Glenn Johnston, Brian Maiken and Josh Baginski all contributed to shutting Las Lomas down time and time again. Calvin Vance successfully stopped a direct shot (with his leg… ouch).

Danny Ennis and Nate Welcomer shined, yet again, as our outstanding goalie combination with Danny having 4 saves in the first half and Nate had 5 saves in the second half.

The Dons will face Dublin on Thursday at Acalanes @ 7pm.
